Graduation 2010 began with a vision from
Superintendent Stu Silberman, and the formation of a steering committee composed of both
community leaders and school district staff who outlined and initiated a series of
curricula additions to enrich what, how, and when learning experiences that have been
proven to enhance a childs neurological development are introduced in our schools. The Owensboro Mercy Health System agreed to
sponsor the graduating class of the your 2010 by becoming engaged in activities with or in
support of this group of children through their 13 years in the district.
Graduation 2010 establishes a common philosophy within our district
that seeks to nurture activities that will stimulate the cognitive development of our
students, channeling resources to support these efforts.
The variety of community sponsors for current and upcoming kindergarten classes
demonstrates the broadness of the partnership that Graduation 2010 has forged within our
community.
